Title Origin Game Location

Intro is a jingle that loops over the title screen, manual, and towards the end of the first BiFi advergame.

Title

An official title is not known. TFMX-Editor would just say SONG 05 on the top right.

For the time being, the VGMPF made up "Intro", after the screen file names.

Composition

The TFMX tracks play:

  1. Hi-hats
  2. Snare drum and bass drum
  3. Bass
  4. Melody
  5. Major chords
  6. Melody one octave higher (DOS only)

The Amiga game starts this song:

  • while it first loads. It continues over the credits, title screen, and the first time the manual appears. Every subsequent time, Present continues over the manual.
  • when the power subgame loads. The DOS version uses Lost and Present.

The Paula channels play samples for:

  1. Drums.
  2. Slap bass. During the power subgame, it is briefly cut by arpeggiated sound effects.
  3. Melody on brass.
  4. Major chords.

For recording, the program icon was clicked in WinUAE 5.3.1 with NTSC off, Audio filter Emulated (A500), and Stereo separation 100%, as per real Amigas.

Released 1993-0?-??
Length About 0:33.25
BPM About 205
Format AWS
Loops Yes, at about 0:09.81

The DOS game starts this song:

  • every time the title screen appears and continues over the manual. The logos before that are silent, probably because the bouncing one slows all audio 50% down.
  • when the ending starts. During credits roll, all audio slows 2% down. The Amiga version uses Present.

Like all AWS files, it is a bit too fast and dependent on CPU speed. It is also a tritone higher, if mainly because the Amiga samples are so wrongly tuned in the first place. The chords are split over channels 4–6, and the melody is doubled over channels 3 and 7, in OPL2 melody mode.

For recording, SNACK.EXE was entered on a real Pentium 60 MHz with a Sound Blaster 16 CT1740.
