Intro is a ditty found in Alf the First Adventure (C64).

After the publisher logo, Alf stares at you, this song plays, a small animation plays, and you get to the instructions. You cannot skip anything. On the contrary, holding down a key slows everything down a bit.

For recording, the game was started in VICE 3.2 with C64C (NTSC). It sounds the same on every SID chip and is track 1 in the rip.

Title

The file INTRO.O contains the song and instructions text, the files DDST and DDINS contain the respective pictures. By extension, ST may be short for another potential title for the composition or arrangement.

Composition

The only known arrangement starts in C major and ends feeling off key. It plays on one triangle wave.

Given that the game's other five songs are flawed arrangements of public domain music (including Original Rags by Scott Joplin), this intro song may be another one. It sounds a bit like Joplin's Elite Syncopations, but not enough to rule out it could be something else, even an unlikely original composition.

The music driver is also found in $100,000 Pyramid (C64), a C64 game wholly credited to Rick/Richard Hansen.
