Home Alone in Japanese (ホーム・アローン) is a demake of the movie of the same name based on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System version, it is a game different from the other versions (except the SNES one), this was designed by Imagineering Inc. and published by THQ (in America, Europe and Australia) and Altron Corporation in Japan for Game Boy in 1991.
This game has its own story, as in the Game Boy and Super Nintendo version, the objective is to evade the Wet Bandits while taking all of McCallister's possessions from the house to a safe room in the basement. Once everything is in the basement, Kevin must fight his way through the rats, bats, spiders and ghosts he encounters in the basement before fighting the boss to get to the safe room and lock it all up. his family's wealth.
This game is one of the top Game Boy classics, it was very well received by gamers, it got very good reviews from critics, being the best versions made by Imagineering Inc, since the ones made by Sega did not have original features from the movie.
Its strong points are the plot, the music with the theme tune of the movie, effects, animations and sounds were very outstanding, very good gameplay, some new technical features and including its legacy that it made on the handheld console.

Mark Van Hecke was the character who made the characteristic music being faithful to the reinterpretation of the original soundtrack of the film, only that the original files do not have specific names, but remained as the most memorable melodies of video games. A lot of music are 8-bit Since Mark also worked on the SNES version, all of the songs are shared, although the SNES version has a couple-few tunes that didn't make it into the Game Boy version. Fortunately, there is an 8-bit rendition of the Home Alone theme by John Williams. One of the in-game tunes is an song loosely based on Trepak though the SNES version contains both this song and the actual song itself.
John Williams was who made the main theme in both games, he was very attached to the characteristic original melody that the movie had.
Van Hecke wrote the music in Dr. T KCS for the Atari ST, and converted the MIDI files to Imagineering's sound driver.
