Hajime Uchida is a Japanese composer, sound designer, and sound programmer who worked for Jaleco and Taito. While working as a programmer, he also released a number of independent cassette tapes and CDs under his label HYUTEC, featuring music from some of his colleagues at Jaleco and Zuntata.

At the age of 10, Uchida played Ozma Wars (ARC), which made him want to work in the game industry. After he graduated high school, he worked at the Information Processing Department of the Japan Electronics College, and worked at Sega for two-years as a part-time employee. Meanwhile, he would hang out at the arcades in Shinjuku. After being around Jaleco for around five years, he was interviewed by the company's president and was hired the next day. During his career at Jaleco, he not only composed music for home consoles, but also medal games, as well as programming the company's SNES sound driver (per Takahiro Ogata).

In November 1994, Hajime departed Jaleco and began working at Taito, where he would serve as the fourth leader of their sound team Zuntata. There, he worked on not only sound programming, but also voice acting and photography for their soundtracks.

On June 20, 2011, Hajime opened his own business, Farad Co., Ltd. The company specializes in online live streaming, event direction, program planning, and even CD production. He also runs his own music label Hyutec.
