Grand Theft Auto 2 is the second official demake, developed by Tarantula Studios and published by Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive without release in Japan for Game Boy Color in 2000.
This port suffered many changes in its version for Windows and PlayStation as it had to adapt everything offered by the Game Boy Color, it would suffer a change in the color palette, audio and music, textures and 3D rendering to a 2D-Isometric one.
It would still have the same basic story, changed to select more characters (not as originally with the protagonist Claude Speed) and with numerous changes for more immersive gameplay and substantially improved to simpler controls, although there was still the limitation of the lack of more buttons.
These versions were well received by gamers, and critics almost labeled them as mediocre, but they were still considered good versions despite the fact that many aspects of them were not playable and did not stand out as a particularly good port.
These two Game Boy Color iterations were re-released for mobile devices running the Java 2ME system, but it was another company that worked to make them commercially successful for this type of hardware.

Anthony Patton will once again be in charge of the soundtrack for this edition and even being the musical arranger, who will compose everything from scratch to adapt it to the portable console chip and adapt it to the chiptune system.
It will be the sound quality that it can offer to the maximum and exaggerated compared to the last version with only 10 tracks, which is technically inferior. The soundtrack breaks up into songs when you get into the vehicle where it starts mixing (same as Grand Theft Auto (GBC)).

Credits
(Sources: Game, Manual)
The game has credits both in the game and in the manual. However, the method of accessing the credits was unknown, and it took hackers almost 20 years after the game's release to figure out the simple method to access the credits; simply do a soft reset on the title screen (holding A, B, Start, and Select). Then, when the game boots up, the credits will display.
These recordings were made by GatoVerde95 using foobar2000 and Game Audio Encoder to FLAC file audio.
