Ghettoblaster is a musical sound effect in To be on Top.

Composition

The song uses the bass from the the 15th inspiration in F minor with all-new drums and a chord.

On both platforms, it is the only song without samples, since the smooth scrolling requires the CPU time; even the drums rely solely on the respective sound chip itself.

Hippel transposed to A minor, wrote another unique drum pattern, created 5 more variations, added the accomp of the 15th inspiration to 3 of them and composed an all-new melody for the 6th one. Comically, 2 variations also play when the old woman (likely without ghettoblaster) passes by. Also, the music loops until the passer-by leaves.

The driver outputs the song to the YM2149F chip and was recorded doing so within Steem SSE 3.9.4.
