Game Boy Advance (known in Japan as ゲームボーイアドバンス; Gēmu Bōi Adobansu), abbreviated as GBA (or AGB in its native Japan), is a handheld game controller created by Nintendo in 2001, this console was a great technical leap over its younger sisters in power, quality and very important improvements, the original model lacked a backlit screen things that were added in later models of the portable console.

This console, at least until the GBA SP, was compatible with Game Boy and Game Boy Color and you can even change the color tones for GB to stretch the screen on both.

Its star titles were Pokémon Ruby (GBA) and Pokémon Sapphire (GBA), these games had many but the console had a technology called ARM used in 3DO that could render games in 3D thing that the GBA had enough power to do that, there are games that took advantage of the console to the maximum potential in known hardware, even having well-known titles like the famous Doom (GBA), Doom II: Hell of the Earth (GBA), Serious Sam Advance (GBA), Driv3r (GBA, almost the entire Need for Speed saga and much more.

This laptop had new hardware using a 16.78 MHz ARM Processor, 82 x 144.5 x 24.5 mm Screen with 32-bit architecture similar to what was in Super Nintendo Entertainment System until the console They called it the Super Nintendo Portable, its medium was with small cartridges and its audio is already spoken in more detail.

The LCD screen is capable of displaying a 240x160 pixel grid in 15-bit color (32768 colors). This screen has more pixels than the original Game Boy (160x144). When running older games, users can press the L or R button to toggle between 160x144 with black borders or scale to 240x144. Early games featured very dark color palettes because dev kit screens were much brighter than commercial unit screens. The palettes for newer titles use gamma correction.

Nintendo made several improvements to the Game Boy Color, as they did to their legendary Game Boy, to keep it relevant in the handheld market, and it's designed to look like previous versions of the Game Boy.
