Game Boy Advance
Game Boy Advance (known in Japan as ゲームボーイアドバンス; Gēmu Bōi Adobansu), abbreviated as GBA, is a handheld game controller created by Nintendo in 2001, this console was a great technical leap over its younger sisters in power, quality and very important improvements, the original model lacked a backlit screen things that were added in later models of the portable console.
This console, at least until the GBA SP, was compatible with Game Boy and Game Boy Color and you can even change the color tones for GB to stretch the screen on both.

Early games featured very dark color palettes because dev kit screens were much brighter than commercial unit screens. The palettes for newer titles use gamma correction.

Nintendo made several improvements to the Game Boy Color, as they did to their legendary Game Boy, to keep it relevant in the handheld market, and it's designed to look like previous versions of the Game Boy. Despite the cosmetic changes, the sound chip remains the same on all models and is identical to the original Game Boy.

Music and Sound
The Game Boy Advance comes with the Sharp L35902 from the Game Boy and two DirectSound channels. The DirectSound channels can be used to play a waveform data stream, or to generate multiple waveform samples that are processed or mixed by the CPU in software.
The AMP IR3R60N chip is the GBA hardware controller. Although it is not known who made it, it can play 16/32-bit waveform channels, has stereo support.
