Fumio Tanabe (also known as BUN) is a Japanese composer and sound designer who worked at Tamsoft and eGame. He is known for his work on the Battle Arena Toshinden and Choro Q series. He is also a guitarist, and is known for his playing from the Choro Q song Big Dome. After leaving Tamsoft for eGame, he continued to work on the Choro Q series, not only composing the music and sound effects, but also working on its planning and design. In fact, the game's character Banta was modeled after Tanabe. During his time with the two companies, he would usually work alongside the likes of Yasuhiro Nakano and Luna Umegaki.
Tanabe is currently in a rock band called PinkSardine, in which the band has contributed to performances of the Choro Q soundtrack. At the end of 2002, he retired from the game industry, but still continues his activities as a musician and guitarist. However, Tanabe has also stated that if he was asked to work on another Choro Q title, he would love to do it with his former colleagues Nakano and Umegaki.
