Frederic Mentzen was a French composer who worked for Infogrames. He currently works on the ZendOM project.

Audio Development

Genesis

Frederic wrote MIDI files in Notator for the Atari ST. The MIDIs were converted to a sound engine that was the precursor to GEMS.

SNES

For Asterix, Mentzen used the second version of Titus' sound driver by Rob Stevens.

For The Smurfs, he used Infogrames version of Nintendo's Kankichi-kun.

Gameography

Note: Though he is credited in the games, Frederic said he didn't work on Alone in the Dark 1, 2, or Spirou, so they have been removed.
