- This page is for the Atari Jaguar version. For other games in the series, see Flashback.
Flashback: The Quest for Identity is the tenth home console port, developed by Tiertex, Ltd. and Delphine Software International and distributed/published by U.S Gold for America and Europe for Atari Jaguar in mid-1995 with no Japanese release.
This port received many technical improvements, in speed that could be seen in the cinematics thanks to the hardware of the Jaguar that was so complex, a ¨Demo¨ mode was created that serves to see a little gameplay, it has a ¨ Test Sound¨ to listen to the melodies that were divided into 12 tracks.
Due to the fact that the Atari Jaguar did not sell well but this port was very good for the console, it was a challenge for the programmers to work on the multiprocessor hardware and the limited space of the cartridges that were 2 MB minimum and 6 MB maximum (Until the Atari Jaguar CD arrived but there was no port).
This game is a work of art but also a game from its saga came out called Another World (JAG) that also shined for its high quality and good technical work.

Music
Jean Baudlot and Fabrice Visserot were the ones who made the music in this version only some sound tracks are not played in a very synchronized way for strange reasons. This port suffered a very strange loss in its music in the way the melodies are played on the Chip Jerry that the Atari Jaguar had.
Donald Campbell would be the programmer and sound arranger for the company Tiertex, Ltd.
