The Escape music plays after you've destroyed Mother Brain, and the self-destruct sequence is set. It is a nerve-wracking tune which hinders your concentration as you try to escape up the tiny platforms to safety.

The song is featured on the Game Sound Museum ~Famicom Edition~ 12 Metroid album, and the Famicom 20th Anniversary: Original Sound Tracks, Vol. 1 album.
