Einosuke Nagao (born Akiyoshi Nagao) is a Japanese composer and sound designer known for his numerous works at Compile. He joined the company in 1989 with his first video game tune being the stage clear music for Blazing Lazers for the TurboGrafx-16. He is especially known for his work on a majority of the Puyo Puyo series of games, and even worked on Compile's hit shoot-em-up series Aleste. Nagao primarily worked on the Super Nintendo, but also worked on other platforms like the NES, TurboGrafx-16, and the Sega Game Gear.
Though Nagao left Compile around 1998, he joined the Bongo 5 as a keyboardist, a band that was formed by former Compile composer Katsumi Tanaka. He even performed live at the Puyo Masters Tournament in Japan.
Music Composition
SNES
For the Kirby's Avalanche music, Einosuke composed the music as MIDI files and rewrote them in MML. His instruments were taken from a Roland TR-909, SH-101, and Juno-106.
The game uses Compile's variant of Nintendo's Kankichi-kun sound driver, reprogrammed by Nobuaki Yamasaki.
