Doom (GBA)

- This page is for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance version of the game, for other platforms see Doom (series).
Doom is the first portable console port, this version was developed by David A. Palmer Productions and published by Activision Publishing in America, Europe and Australia for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance in 2001.
This port is more worked although the GBA was very powerful almost to the Super Nintendo hardware but more advanced Doom was not optimized much on this console and even the music was badly synchronized and the dynamic lights make the game more unplayable at times punctual.
This port was based on the Atari Jaguar code, only the music was badly synchronized and little misinterpreted, some graphic aspects were improved, new features were added such as DeathMatch mode through Game Boy Player on GameCube or through GBA Link cable, possibilities of saving and support to Stereo.
It was well received by users who owned a Game Boy Advance, it was very good but it had many problems that would not be handled by David A. Palmer Productions but by Torus Games that would develop Doom II: Hell On Earth (GBA) much more worked.

Music
Bobby Prince originally worked on the music early on, but the port was commissioned to Activision, so he was looking for a candidate developer, David A. Palmer Productions, and his transfer of music and special effects handled by Allister Brimble as audio director, Michael Delaney and Will Davis as additional development collaborators.
The error was the bad synchronization that the game had due to a bad code put in because of the transfer of code from Atari Jaguar to Game Boy Advance.
