Dirk Bialluch is a German artist.
Bialluch started gaming and programming on a Commodore 64 in 1983. After several months, he went from its built-in BASIC to 6502 assembler. At the 64'er music competition 1988, his unpreserved song Magic Beat ranked 3rd. From 1989 to 1993, Bialluch and his friends formed The Power Unit.
Since 2002, he runs Lightstorm3D.
Audio Development
Amiga
Bialluch bought an Amiga 2000 early and composed 23 MODs in multiple versions of Soundtracker.
For games, Bialluch programmed Noisesystem from 1991 to 1993 and transferred samples digitally from an Akai S1000.
In late 1993, The Power Unit became Voyage, upgraded to the Amiga 4000, and started Advanced Designer. However, Commodore's bankruptcy destroyed all confidence.
Commodore 64
Obviously influenced by Soundmonitor, Bialluch programmed Mega Player from 1988 to 1990 and arranged most likely on a 6581 chip (as opposed to the 8580).
