Crymax plays during the cutscene that displays after Stage 5 in Knight Rider Special (PCE). The cutscene shows that KITT has died. Michael Knight then asks Bonnie Barstow to fix KITT quickly. Bonnie responds that she can fix KITT, but it will take some time. After this, another cutscene is shown where KITT spins faster and faster until the game informs the player that the repair is complete.
The song was written by Junichi Saito and/or "Shigehisa.H" into a sound driver by Saito.

The song's title comes from the game's sound test.
The song's title was likely intended to be "Climax," but due to a transliteration error from Japanese to English, it was spelled incorrectly. In Japanese, the title would be クライマックス (Kuraimakkusu).
