Cruisin is an action-arcade game developed by Hect and published by Jaleco. It was originally released in Japan as City Connection, and is not to be confused with Midway Games' Cruis'n series.
In the game, you play as Clarice. Your mission is to go around twelve places in the world in your Honda City compact vehicle and paint all the roads, similar to Pac-Man, but plays more like Make Trax. While you're doing this, police and other cars are chasing you. Some locations include North America, South America, Germany, India, and China. Clarice can pick up oil drums which can be used to dispatch enemies. However, other obstacles such as spike traps and even flag-wielding cats cannot be avoided, and coming into contact with any enemy results in the loss of a life. Every now and then, balloons can be spotted throughout the level. Collecting three of them will result in a warp, in which you can skip a few levels.
The game was later released on the MSX, and also received its only international release on the NES, under its original Japanese name, City Connection. An unlicensed ZX Spectrum was also made.

Music
There is a lot of music for such an early arcade game. However, all the stage themes are just rearrangements of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1, "Allegro non troppo e molto maestoso" section, so even though it's nice to have different music in most of the levels, it's annoying to hear the same motifs in each level.
The Australia stage also has the song Wipeout interspersed with the Tchaikovsky song.

The high scores can be viewed after waiting through the demos. The default high scores appear to be the names of the developers. Among them is "N-Atsumi", which is most likely Norihiro Atsumi, who did music and sound for games by Jaleco and Hect.
