Chunsoft (株式会社チュンソフト) was a Japanese game development studio. It was created by Koichi Nakamura in 1984 after winning a contest involving his creation of the game Door Door. The company is perhaps known as the first company to develop the Dragon Quest games.

In 2012, the company merged with Spike and thus became Spike Chunsoft.

The company used a sound driver by Masumi Takimoto and Tadashi Fukuzawa. Music was entered in a custom Music Macro Language.

SNES

The company used a sound driver by Chiyoko Mitsumata. The driver does not support the SPC due to its programming.
