Blood is a gothic horror style game using using Ken Silverman's Build engine. From a technology perspective, it comes after Duke Nukem 3D and includes some additional features like early sector-over-sector support and 3D sprites (voxels). The sector-over-sector support was further refined after the game's release, and by the time Shadow Warrior was released, all of the glitches had been fixed (however no update was ever made to backport the fixes to Blood.)

* Early versions of these songs appear in the shareware CD (0.99) version.
† An early version of Unholy Voices (comprising mostly of the piano) is used as the test music in the normal shareware audio setup.
The last three tracks (13-15) were only used in the shareware CD (0.99) version and were removed for later releases, except for track 15 (DBLOOD9.MID) which remained inside the game setup and is used as test music when checking that the music device is configured correctly. It is still referred to here as the Blood Theme, despite never actually being used in the game itself.

Game Rip
The music is located in SOUNDS.RFF, with another song inside SETMAIN.EXE (used for the music test.) The registered and shareware versions are much the same (with the shareware version lacking a few songs), however unusually an early shareware version was released on CD with the version number 0.99. While not quite a beta version, it was early enough in the development cycle that a number of changes were made before the later releases. This includes a number of major changes to the music, which are included in the rip. The MIDI files were ripped with Camoto. The recordings are from Brandon Blume's SC-55 Blood music pack.
