Alien Vs. Predator is known as (エイリアンVSプレデタ - Eirian tai hoshoku-sha) in Japan. It was first ported from the Atari Jaguar and Atari Lynx console-exclusive Atari Corp. versions, originally licensed from 24th Century Fox, and was created by Rebellion Developments and released by Atari Corp. in America, Europe and Oceania, as well as by Moomin Corp in Japan in 1993.
The game is a first-person shooter with flat environments and two-dimensional but three-dimensional sprites. Each player character is unique, with its own environment, equipment and abilities. An alien, a predator or a human soldier are the three characters that can be controlled in the game, which was originally a first-person shooter based on the comic book of the same name. Marine Lance Lewis of the Colonials.
The prologue is the same for each scenario. It sees a Predator ship and a Space Jockey Boneship landing on the USS Golgotha, a training space station for the U.S. Colonial Marine Corps built by Weyland-Yutani. The Colonial Marines take up defensive positions to protect the base while all local civilians (and USCMC recruits) are evacuated. Then the game begins.
Development moved to the Atari console with new technical details with improved textures, mechanics and music that was pure ambient, but there are only 3 tracks, 2 of which are usable and one for testing. It is the best selling game on the system and is even more significant because a Sega 32X version was in the works as an exclusive.
The game was Atari's highlight for Jaguar and was eagerly awaited when it finally came out. Reviews were largely favorable and many people praised the game's engaging atmosphere and variety of gameplay.

James Grunke, Michael Stevens, Nathan Brenholdt, Will Davis, Paul Foster, Tom Gillen and Alex Quarmby (from Rebellion Dev.) were the team in charge of the voices, music (with only 3, 2 usable) and effects sounds, the same happened on the Atari handheld console.
This game has only 3 tracks and only 2 usable ones, the other one is only for audio testing but it was going to be used in the final version of the game but it is not known why it was discarded when it was released.
