Akihiro Asada (better known as Lucky Asada) is a programmer at Sunsoft. While better known for his longtime general programming contributions at the company, he was also experienced in hardware and designed the chips and circuits Sunsoft's games ran on, including the 5B chip which gave Mr. Gimmick it's expanded sound capabilities.
