Yoshitaka Nishimura, more commonly know by his main alias DJ YOSHITAKA, is one of the main composers for Konami's BEMANI line of arcade rhythm games. His first song for the series was in beatmania IIDX 11 IIDX RED (ARC), and has since contributed a number of songs to almost every single currently running BEMANI game. In addition to composing, he is the current head producer for beatmania IIDX, pop'n music, REFLEC BEAT, SOUND VOLTEX, and BeatStream.
He is one of the founders of KONAMI's in-house BEMANI record label, beatnation records, along with Takayuki Ishikawa, Toshiyuki Kakuta and Tatsuya Shimizu. His choice as an addition to the label in its revival in 2014 was Yoshihiro Tagawa (aka DJ TOTTO).
Gameography
Note: only games where an entirely new song debuted will be listed. For example, the only song composed by Nishimura that was added to the REFLEC BEAT series in REFLEC BEAT colette -Summer- (ARC) was Colorful Cookie, which had already appeared in beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS (ARC). Thus, REFLEC BEAT colette -Summer- (ARC) is not listed. This does not apply to games where a transplant song was rearranged, such as beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro's rearrangement of FLOWER.
