Wordtris is a puzzle game based on the popular puzzle game Tetris. The player must line up words horizontally or vertically to spell words. Instead of level numbers, the levels are represented in letters. The game stops at Level J and keeps going until the player loses. Every time the level changes, there is a different background image with a Russian theme and a short music number.

Music

The game claims the music is Russian-style and it is. Ed Bogas did a really good job at writing the music. Unfortunately, the music won't loop. Ed wrote MIDI files which were then converted to AdLib Visual Composer (DOS), but it is unknown how he created the MIDI files. This could be because the AdLib version was written on AdLib Visual Composer, which didn't have a loop option. The MIDI version doesn't loop either though. This could be because Ed Bogas thought that since the AdLib version didn't loop music, then the MIDI version shouldn't either. Because the music was recorded from the VGZ file, there is a sound glitch at the beginning of Level H.

Since there is an AdLib and a MIDI version of the soundtrack, the AdLib soundtrack starts with a 1 and the MT-32 soundtrack starts with a 2.

This rip doesn't yet contain the music of the game, only the AdLib instrument bank file that is installed in the root game folder. The music was logged to DRO files and then converted to VGZ format using DRO to VGM. The recording was made in Winamp.
