The very first incarnation of the Ultima Theme was designed for the Apple II version. It plays at the game's title screen and as the victory theme when you've slain all the enemies in a battle.

Like the game before it, the Ultima Theme plays at the main menu of Ultima 6. While the quality of music has been increased a little, the over all composition of the song has remain untouched. Herman Miller most likely arranged the song since he began work on the game's soundtrack, though it may have been someone else. The Ultima Theme is also one of the four songs that is randomly played after conversations, so you will hear the song all throughout the game.

The original file is named Ultima.m.

While original DOS release of Ultima 5 lacks music, the Exodus Project brings some features to the game like music from Apple II, and Commodore 128 versions.

This version appears on the same places with Apple II release. It plays slightly slower than Commodore version, making it increase 4 seconds in length.
