Toshikazu Tanaka is a Japanese composer who started working for SNK in 1986. He founded his own audio company, Studio Aqua, in 2000, but continues to compose music for many SNK Playmore games. He is often credited, not only as a composer, but a sound programmer.

Some of Tanaka's favorite artists include Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Van Halen, Deep Purple, and Lee Ritenour.

Tanaka currently lives in Kyoto.
