The Veldt is an ominous tune played throughout the area of the map known as the veldt. The tune is also played during combat in the veldt, unlike all other sections which play the Battle music. The song appears on the Final Fantasy VI Original Sound Version album.

The English title used on the OSV doesn't fit the song at all, and it doesn't fit the Japanese title either. However, "Wild West" would fit Shadow's Theme quite well. Is this perhaps a mistake on the part of the translators?
