What was it about this game? The unique story, the gold chrome cart, the strange monsters and items? Whatever it was, it started a franchise that continues on almost two decades after the first game. You control Link who must collect the eight pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom in order to finally confront the evil wizard Gannon in order to save the princess Zelda.

Music
The Legend of Zelda was early in the NES market, so the music isn't expected to be awesome, but there are a few nice tunes. The introduction music is especially iconic, and the other tunes are quite memorable to anyone one who played the game. Titles come from the Famicom 20th Anniversary - Original Sound Tracks, Vol.1 album, but some jingles were never officially released.

Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
Some tracks, like the game over music and the Zelda is rescued fanfare, are missing from the rip and, as such, also from the Vorbis soundtrack. When the rip is updated to include the missing tracks we will update as well.
