Takeshi Yasuda (Born 安田 リカード 毅 Takeshi Ricardo Yasuda) is a Japanese composer. He was born in 1962 in Mexico City, though he also lived in the UK for some time. In the late 80's/early 90's he worked on the music for games published by either Pony Canyon or Fujisankei Communications, Inc. His primary works were the PC98 ports of the classic 'Gold Box' RPG games such as Curse of the Azure Bonds and Secret of the Silver Blades. He has also worked with the famous Hitoshi Sakimoto.

Takeshi continues to compose music today, but it is unknown whether he is still working on game music or not.

Music Development

NES

For Break Time: The National Pool Tour, he used a sound driver by Kazuo Sawa.

PC98

I used a custom-programmed edit tool for the sound chip for the PC-98 which was provided by the client. The software looked like a DX-7 editor because the PC-98 has a similar kind of FM sound generator chip.
