Stephen Lord is an English composer and sound designer. In 1993, he started working at Handmade Software as a composer and sound designer. In 1993, he started working for Rage Software, where he worked on a great deal of their games. While most of his titles at Rage were done single-handedly, he was sometimes credited with Kev Bruce. In 2003, he started working at Electronic Arts as an Audio Manager. He left in 2005 to start his own freelance music business up until 2008. In November 2009, Lord worked on Realtime Worlds' computer game All Points Bulletin. In August 2010, he rejoined Electronic Arts as an audio director and left about a year later. From June 2011 to October 2020, he worked as the Head of Audio and an Audio Director for Jagex.
Today, Lord is still active in the industry as an Audio Director for Sumo Digital, a position he's held since October 2022. He resides in Greater Cambridge, England.
