- This page is for the Contra song, for more titles see Stage Clear.
The Stage Clear fanfare plays upon beating certain bosses in the Contra games. The tune was composed by Kazuki Muraoka. The title is unofficial.
Games
Contra (ARC)
In the arcade game, Stage Clear is only played after defeating the first base boss. When you defeat the final boss, you hear a special version of the song, Red Falcon's Destroyed.
Contra (NES)
In the NES port, Stage Clear is played in every stage after you defeat the boss.
The Japanese version matches the arcade game by playing the special stage clear variant Red Falcon's Destroyed after defeating the final boss, but the North American, European, and PlayChoice-10 versions all play the usual Stage Clear song.
Operation C (GB)
Contra: Hard Corps (GEN)
There are two versions of the song; one that plays whenever a stage has been completed, and one that plays if the whole game has been completed.
The song is titled Stage Clear and All Stage Clear in the sound test.
Contra Spirits (NES)
The song plays when a level has been successfully completed.
Toy Story (NES)
The song plays when a level has been successfully completed.
The song was originally used in Contra Spirits (NES), released just two years earlier. It was most likely reused, as both games share the same sound composers.
