Shinichi Tanaka is a Japanese composer and sound designer who worked at Winky Soft. He is known for his work on the Super Robot Taisen series. In particular, he did the music to the second, third, and fourth games in the series, and as a result, set the stage as the foundation of the music for the future games in the series. His best known songs include "Neppuu! Hayate! Psybuster" and "Armageddon", which are still used in the series to this day. Other composers such as Noboru Yamane and Daisuke Fujimoto also helped contribute to the foundation of the Super Robot Taisen series.

He started working for Winky Soft around 1991 and left around 1995. After he left the company, his whereabouts were unknown until 2012 when he released arrangements of his work.
