Shami Taiko is the pseudonym of a Japanese sound designer who worked at TOSE around 1987. They were only credited in one game, Kyouto Ryuu no Tera Satsujin Jiken.
The etymology of their pseudonym isn't entirely clear, but it is most likely referring to two Japanese instruments, the Shamisen (三味線) and the Taiko drum (太鼓).

- Note: The MSX2 version of Kyoto Ryuu no Tera Satsujin Jiken lacks credits, but shares the same soundtrack as the Famicom version.
