Scott Etherton was an American game developer. He started out as a musician and hobby programmer. He programmed the MechWarrior games as well as Die Hard. One of the first projects he worked on, for Silent Sortware, was Disney Animation Studio. During his career, he also scored the music to a few games.

Unfortunately, Etherton passed away in his home in Playa Del Rey, California on April 20, 2001 from cardiac myopathy.
