Rachel Theme 1 is a song from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The song was composed by Michiharu Hasuya.

Due to levels being cut for the North American release, this song only plays in the Japanese version, as Rachel is only present in that version.

The song, like most compositions by Hasuya, only utilizes the two pulse wave channels of the RP2A03. One channel serves as the lead while the other serves as a bassline. Most of the song consists of 8th note staccato sounds. It is in the key of D minor and plays at approximately 112 beats per minute.

Hasuya wrote the music using hexadecimal numbers for notation into his sound engine.

The song plays when you are playing the stages as Dr. Henry Jekyll and come across Rachel. She will wave at the good doctor from the top floor of a building or tower. When Dr. Jekyll enters, she will either have relations with him, or she will attack him and an alternate tune will play instead. According to the manual, Dr. Jekyll reminds her of her late husband, so she can be either very thrilled or very angry to see him.
