This is the first game made under the Zillion license. There are two versions of Pure Stone in the Master System release. The first is based directly on the anime's title music and plays during the game's title as well as the surface of Planet X. The second uses a more somber arrangement and plays as game over music. Also, the game's Death theme uses notes from Pure Stone.

This music is rendered on the SN76489 in the Master System or Mark III.
