Natsume (ナツメ(株) Natsume Kabu = Natsume Co., Ltd.) was a Japanese video game developer. They are known for creating the Harvest Moon and Rune Factory games. Their name is Japanese for the tree known as a Jujube.


Games


Music Development

NES

There were two main sound drivers used at Natsume. One was programmed by Iku Mizutani. According to Hiroyuki Iwatsuki, the music was written in binary. Another sound engine was programmed by Kiyohiro Sada.

SNES

According to Hiroyuki Iwatsuki, he used a tool similar to a tracker which was provided by Nintendo. Iku Mizutani would create MIDI files and convert them to the SNES.
