Mieko Ishikawa was born on January 23, 1964 in Kanagawa, Japan. She joined Nihon Falcom around 1987 and stayed with the company up until around 1996. While working there, she scored the music to many games in the Dragon Slayer and Ys franchises.

Mieko never wrote for the NES, but her compositions were arranged by Advance Communication Company's sound team in Sound Routine in 6502 assembly.
