Michiharu Hasuya is a Japanese composer, sound designer and programmer who worked for Tecmo, Vic Tokai, and Advance Communication Company. While Hasuya is not one of the more popular composers, his work has proven to be very nostalgic to its listeners. He started off working for Tecmo with his first game being Solomon's Key. After he left Tecmo, he started working for Vic Tokai as a freelance composer. Later in his video game music career, he started working for Advance Communication Company along with Osamu Kasai, Masaaki Harada, and various other composers. Michiharu no longer composes game music, but he still composes music to this day and creates VST plugins for sequencers.

Music Composition

NES

Michiharu programmed his own sound engine in which he says was written in hexadecimal. The Japanese version of Circus Caper NES credits サウンドルーティン4ごう (Sound Routine No. 4). It is unknown if Hasuya programmed the engine or if it was Osamu Kasai or Masaaki Harada.

His music sounds similar to Paul Webb's.
