Locomotion is a colorful strategy game where you manipulate switches on train tracks in order to get trains to their expected destinations. Things quickly become complicated as multiple trains being to fill the tracks, and you must prevent them from crashing into one another.

The game was released in both English and German and supports EGA and VGA graphics.

For music, the game calls PlayROL and waits until it returns. If Ad Lib's sound driver is not installed, PlayROL returns immediately. The driver assumes an Ad Lib Music Synthesizer Card or compatible at port 388h (or a port specified using the driver's P option), but does not actually check for it. Either way, PlayROL runs for the song's duration, or until a key is pressed. The actual game plays sound effects on the PC Speaker.
