Locomotion is a colorful strategy game where you manipulate switches on train tracks in order to get trains to their expected destinations. Things quickly become complicated as multiple trains being to fill the tracks, and you must prevent them from crashing into one another.

The game was released in both English and German and supports EGA and VGA graphics.

Locomotion features only a title theme song, but it begins with a fitting train track rhythm.

The ROL music and BNK instrument files are located in the install folder. The game uses the generic AdLib sound driver which is also located in the install folder. The music was recorded during gameplay with DOSBox v0.74.

The game detects if the AdLib driver is loaded, and if so, plays music. Sound effects are played through the PC Speaker.
