Kentris, as the name suggests, is a Tetris clone—specifically, it's a Tetris clone made in 1991 by Ken Silverman, who would later go on to write [[Ken's Labyrinth (DOS)|Ken's Labyrinth]] and the Build Engine. The game is not all that visually appealing; it has a slow refresh rate and some of the visual effects are rather annoying, like pulsing backgrounds and shifting wells. However, it does feature some interesting effects that you didn't see in homebrews of the early 90s like SVGA support, [[AdLib]] music, and a database of players with their winning percentages. There's not much else to say about it other than, "It's Kentris!"

Kentris, as the name suggests, is a Tetris clone—specifically, it's a Tetris clone made in 1991 by Ken Silverman, who would later go on to write Ken's Labyrinth (DOS) and the Build Engine. The game is not all that visually appealing; it has a slow refresh rate and some of the visual effects are rather annoying, like pulsing backgrounds and shifting wells. However, it does feature some interesting effects that you didn't see in homebrews of the early 90s like SVGA support, AdLib music, and a database of players with their winning percentages.
