Kazuhiro Ayabe (He goes by Kaz Ayabe) is a Japanese game programmer who worked at NMK. He also worked on sound programming. When Kazunori Hideya joined the company, he edited Kazuhiro's sound driver and used it.

Music Development

NES

Kazuhiro wrote a sound engine, coded in 6502 assembly.

Ochin ni Toshi Puzzle Tonjan!?

Ayabe talked about working on the game on Twitter;

Moreover, at the end of "Tonjan," a proposal was made to have a New Year's vacation starting the next day if the mastering was completed by Christmas, and we all thought of puzzles and made music together, which was a lot of fun.

Ayabe responded to a Tweet that has now been deleted by its user:

Oh, that is probably Shizura Okamura. What I made for "Tonjan" was, for example, the music for the title screen.

When asked about the release of the game from the same user:

For Tonjan, I did the sound driver and about 40% of the music composition. If the work was finished before Christmas, we would have a long New Year's break, and everyone would bring their own songs.
