In the NES port, Jungle is played in both the Jungle and Hangar stages (1 and 7 respectively). This differs from the arcade game that plays the Energy Zone track in the hangar section.

This song is one of the four Contra tracks featured on the Konami Music Classics Collection album with the title Secret Forest Battle.

Although the background animation of the Japanese release is superior, the song remains throughout every region and the PlayChoice-10 release.
