Information Mode is heard when the player is selecting a fish for Challenge, Tournament, or Practice game. The developers did not take composer Rob Wallace's advice and use the song he provided titled Select a Fish Menu Song. The song uses piano, bass, drums, and the kalimba. This is the first song Wallace composed for the game—he began on March 10th, 1993—and it identifies the game as "Coral Reef!" rather than "Odell Down Under," which all subsequent files use. The official title comes from the song's meta data.
