This is a guide for newcomers on how they can help update the VGMPF Wiki. If you're ever not sure what to do, you can always email the web master at: thealmightyguru@gmail.com.

Creating an Account

The first thing you'll need to do is to create an account. Once your account has been created, you'll be able to add your videogame music wisdom to the Wiki.

Wiki Format

The Videogame Music Preservation Foundation uses the same Wiki software used by Wikipedia. It is meant to be easy, but if you've never updated a Wiki before, it may seem a little intimidating. To understand Wiki syntax, check out the MediaWiki User Guide.

Editing Rules

In order to maintain a common structure to the Wiki, some Editing Rules have been created. Before you edit, it's a good idea to read through the rules so that you'll know which formats to use for uploading.

To Do

The To Do page lists all of the work that still needs to be done on the VGMPF.
