Platform: Commodore 64
Year: 1988
Developer: Rainbow Arts

Garrison is a Gauntlet clone, originally published for the Amiga due to lack of an official Gauntlet (AMI).

Rather uniquely, Garrison (C64) uses the keyboard to allow 3 simultaneous players rather than 2 as in Garrison (AMI) and Gauntlet (C64). However, the graphics are less recognizable than in either.

Music

The C64 soundtrack to Garrison was Ramiro Vaca's first task at Rainbow Arts. It is a cross between the Amiga original and Vaca's own compositions. It is also the first release to use Chris Hülsbeck's durable TFMX system.

Recording

All songs were recorded from VICE 3.2 with the model 6581 (ReSID) and a filter bias of -196. While the recorder considered this configuration most noticeable and interesting, it is unconfirmed how close it is to Vaca's.
