Faces ...tris III is a puzzle game created by Alexey Pajitnov, the same person who made Tetris. The game was also released for the Commodore Amiga and Macintosh. The game contains 10 levels, each with a certain theme to them (music, monsters, scientists, historical figures, etc.) The main objective of the game is to match up facial pieces to make up a person's complete face.

Music

Like Super Tetris (DOS) and Wordtris (DOS), the game contains twelve non-looping songs. Ed Bogas used Super Studio Session to compose the music. It is unknown what Peter and Kuswara used.

This is the only game that Kuswara is credited for anything audio related, so he is assumed as the programmer, as the rest of his video game credits involve him programming. Peter Ward and Kuswara aren't credited in the Amiga version which has the same music, only Ed Bogas. This could mean that Ed Bogas composed all the songs and Peter only served as a music producer, or possibly as an arranger for the music to play properly on the MS-DOS soundcards and sound devices.

(Info)

The game contains two versions of each song, one with a .MUS extension and the other with a .SNG extension, each located in the root install folder. AdLib uses the *.MUS files in MUS (AdLib) format, Tandy uses *.SNG files. However SNG format is not identified and seems to have no header. There is an instrument bank file in SND (AdLib) format, FACES.SND, used for the AdLib music. These same music formats are used in Tetris Gold, but not in Super Tetris or Wordtris.

The VGM files were logged in ValleyBell's version of DOSBox 0.74 and trimmed to play properly.
