Commodore 64 version probably was the original one, because ports of Driller for 8-bit computers appeared a year before Amiga and Atari ST port.

Matt Gray appartenly wanted to make this track in a style of techno music, combined with some symphonic vibe. As lemon64.com states, piece from 0:35 to 2:10 has a cover of fast playing "Halloween" by John Carpenter, and 6:40-7:40 is basically "Phantom of the Opera" by Andrew Lloyd Weber.

This tune is the only one in the SID file.
