Die Hard is a top-view game based on the movie of the same name. The player takes control of John McLane who has taken a trip to Hollywood to see his wife, Holly, only to find that Hans Gruber and his workers have taken over the Nakatomi Building (Fox Building) and John's girlfriend captive. It is now up to John McLane to save his wife and stop the terrorists. This game is one of the rare titles on the NES and is worth about $30. It is a rare game because it was sold through a Toys R Us offer only.

Music

The game's music has very weird music but at the same time, fits the game. Nobody is sure who wrote the music as the game nor the game's manual mentions the music, sound or audio engineering credit, but is can be assumed that three in-house composers at Pack-In-Video were responsible. Their names are Junichi Saito, Hitoshi Saito, and Masaki Iwamoto. The game also features Beethoven's 9th Symphony Movement 4, Ode to Joy. It can be assumed that it was whoever was the in-house musician at Pack-In Video. It can be assumed that the music was written in hex code because of the way the music sounds (arpeggio chords and instrument selection).
