- This page is for the DragonStrike song, for more titles see Cut Scenes.
The Cut Scenes music is played in between each level when you read about your upcoming battle. It plays as a slower, down-beat tune.
This tune was not arranged for NES version.
Games
DragonStrike (DOS)
Paul Mudra composed the track in AdLib Visual Composer. The original file is named "DSTune7.mus".
Another variant of Cut Scene screen
DragonStrike (C64)
The original MUS track was rearranged on the SID chip. The track was simplified and now features just the same repeating drum pattern mixed with bass (from the second part of the DOS arrangement) without melody, so listening to this version might be more annoying when compared to the DOS original.
DragonStrike (AMI)
The structure of the song matches Commodore 64 port rather than DOS original, albeit with digital drums and bass instead of PSG-generated ones.
DragonStrike (PC98)
In the Japanese versions of DragonStrike, it is one of the five cutscene themes, not just the one. In both PC-9801 and X68000 versions, it has a Commodore 64/Amiga "basis" of bass and drums loop with a simple, repeating arpeggio "layered" on it. It was arranged by either Yoshio Kobayashi and/or Yasuhiro Kawasaki.
DragonStrike (X68)
The song plays a little faster than the PC-9801 version.
The music was written in Music Macro Language using OPMDRV.
Its internal filename is BACK.OPM.
